Forskarnas slutsats \u00e4r att polarisen kommer att sm\u00e4lta snabbare \u00e4n ber\u00e4knat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8221;Allvarligt&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Detta \u00e4r allvarligt. Om v\u00e4rldens regeringar och organisationer ska kunna lita p\u00e5 klimatmodellerna m\u00e5ste de revideras. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r beh\u00f6ver forskningen och datainh\u00e4mtningen i Arktis prioriteras. Grafik: Anna-Lena Lindqvist\/TT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fyra g\u00e5nger snabbare<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Det \u00e4r inte f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen som forskning visar att man underskattat hur snabbt polerna v\u00e4rms upp. Tidigare har det sagts att uppv\u00e4rmningen av Arktis g\u00e5r mer \u00e4n dubbelt s\u00e5 snabbt som av resten av jorden, men i h\u00f6stas pekade en studie p\u00e5 att det g\u00e5r tre till fyra g\u00e5nger snabbare p\u00e5 Arktis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Att h\u00e5lla koll p\u00e5 Arktis \u00e4r viktigt av flera sk\u00e4l. Sm\u00e4ltande landisar bidrar till global havsniv\u00e5h\u00f6jning, och n\u00e4r is f\u00f6rsvinner bidrar det till ytterligare uppv\u00e4rmning genom att mer v\u00e4rme tas upp av havet i st\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att reflekteras bort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forskning pekar \u00e4ven p\u00e5 att ett uppv\u00e4rmt Arktis kan p\u00e5verka luftstr\u00f6mmar och eventuellt bidra till exempelvis torka och cykloner p\u00e5 andra delar av klotet, enligt Torben K\u00f6nigk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&#8221;Tydligt tecken&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>TT: B\u00f6r vi vara oroliga \u00f6ver det som h\u00e4nder p\u00e5 Arktis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Ja. Vi har kommit till en punkt i klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna d\u00e5 det n\u00e4stan \u00e4r om\u00f6jligt att hindra att isen d\u00e4r f\u00f6rsvinner helt under delar av sommaren.
